How can citizens and local municipalities get involved in the transition towards a more sustainable energy system ? How can technology support the target of 100% renewable energy by 2050? What are the financial benefits of renewable energy? What is the impact of global warming on biodiversity? These and many other questions will be answered in the interregional conference on 17 January 2017.
The European federation of renewable energy cooperatives (REScoop.eu) and CITYnvest invite to an interregional conference in Eupen (Belgium), the center of 5 European regions: the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. The conference will clearly demonstrate the potential of renewable energy and show that a transition towards a more sustainable energy system is needed now more pertinent than ever: "Renewable Energy: Now more than ever!" In the conference we will discuss important dimensions related to renewable energy: society, technology, economics, spatial planning and the environment. In the morning international experts will share their thoughts, facts and figures in plenary sessions. The afternoon will be run in interactive workshops.
